On September 28th, the World Series of Poker Circuit began at King’s Casino, with players offered a full schedule of events running through October 18th. The WSOP Circuit was scheduled in Rozvadov before the WSOP Europe begins and Andrej Desset of Slovakia was the first to claim one of fourteen gold rings up for grabs. Desset was able to earn the first place finish and gold ring by competing in the €299 WSOP Circuit Oktoberfest Ring Event with €500,000 in guaranteed prize money on offer.

The win marks the third time that Desset was able to earn a huge win for 2017. In April, he won the Main Event of the partypoker Grand Prix Austria and that same month, earned the win during the Main Event of the partypoker Grand Prix Germany.

With 2,085 entries for the event, the prize pool pushed past the guaranteed to provide €534,802 in total. For outlasting the large field, Desset earned €94,495 for his efforts. That same day, the €90 + 10 No Limit Hold’em Turbo event began with only 41 entries. Martin Benda of Australia was able to earn the title win during his event, taking home €1,297 for his efforts.

This weekend has been busy with several events on the schedule and still more to come moving into next week. On Thursday, October 12th, the PPLO High Roller 8-Max final begins with the Main Event day 1A set for Friday the 13th. So much is on the schedule, with amateurs and pros alike trying their hand at the variety of poker tournaments on offer.
